...beheading - quick and presumably painless. But then I wonder if blasphemers shouldn't be made to suffer a bit, which suggests stoning them to death might be the answer. Or, maybe, being thrown off a tall building somewhere in the middle of, say, London or Birmingham or Bradford, which would act as a salutary warning to infidels. Then again, removing the tongues of blasphemers and letting them live as a constant reminder to themselves and others that Barack Obama was spot on when he said "the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam" might be the best solution.
I'm looking forward to the BBC asking listeners to share their views on what sort of punishments should be meted out to homosexuals, adulterers, women who walk around with their heads uncovered, dog-lovers, gamblers, drinkers, or anyone who enjoys a few rashers of bacon with their eggs.
